How to deal with online chatting addiction?

Question by Ethereal U: How to deal with online chatting addiction?
My friend (58yo) is addicted to online chatting. We caught him many times. And was not a normal chatting (Involving sex). Anybody please tell me seriously how to tell him that is wasting time and dangerous.

One time he sent money to stranger across USA and found out this guy was a bogus.

I really do care about him. He said he just did this for fantasy.

Please help me????
