I smoke cigarettes to help me quit marijuana and it doesn’t work?

Question by Mozin: I smoke cigarettes to help me quit marijuana and it doesn’t work?
I decided a while back that I should smoke a cigarette every time after I smoke a marijuana bowl. This would help me to help me quit smoking marijuana. I heard cigarettes are gross and give you lung cancer so I don’t like it at all. It’s not working though, whats the best way to stop?

Answer by Edward
I’m not trying to be mean, but that really is the dumbest thing I have heard in a long time.

Tobacco products contain one of the most addictive substances on the planet. Smoking cigarettes is only going to get you ADDICTED TO CIGARETTES!!!

First, quit using all tobacco products. When you get that worked out of your system try quitting marijuana. You may need help with tobacco.

Marijuana addiction is primarily mental/psychological. If you don’t feel you can quit it alone, ask for help from a councilor, therapist, doctor, adult family member, or religious leader. If there is a support group for addictions like Narcotics Anonymous near you, going to meeting might help. Just make sure it isn’t one where they replace their drug of choice with cigarettes and coffee!

How do I answer these mental health questions when joining the Marines?

Question by Jacob: How do I answer these mental health questions when joining the Marines?
When I was 15 my parents admitted me to a mental hospital due to behavioral issues, I stayed at this hospital for two days with no mental diagnosis. My predicament now is that i’m trying to join the marines and I am worried that that would show up at meps, should I lie about this ordeal and hope they don’t see this on my record or should I tell the truth and hope they do not deny me. Any insight would help thanks.
These are the questions I have to answer honestly,
1.Seen a psychiatrist, psychologist, social worker, counselor or other professional for any reason (inpatient or outpatient) including counseling or treatment for school, adjustment, family, marriage or any other problem, to include depression, or treatment for alcohol, drug or substance abuse
2.Any illnesses, surgery, or hospitalization not listed above

Best answer:

Answer by Alexis
I cannot stress this enough….ANSWER HONESTLY!! Lol. If its there, they will find it. Considering you were not diagnosed it should not be a problem. If it happens to be a problem, explain the situation to your recruiter and they may be able to get you a waiver. But I honestly don’t think it’ll be a problem

Can I be drug tested in court before I even meet my PO?

Question by Kate: Can I be drug tested in court before I even meet my PO?
Got arrested for a DUI, went through like three months figuring out what plea I was going to get (Florida court systems are SLOW AS ALL HECK). My defender said that I will fill out paper work after my plea with probation and then set up a time to see my PO.

I didn’t want to ask her this lol. But just from your guys experience, can they drug test me right there before I even see my PO? Obviously this is my first time ever doing anything like this. I may test positive for THC. I smoked on and off (with like days even between) and then I stopped entirely two weeks ago. But I entered a “drug/alcohol treatment” center this week just to look good for court (my conviction court date is in three days). Do you think that will help out if I fail my first probation drug test?
It was a misdemeanor DUI with leaving the scene. I have never heard of them drug testing you BEFORE they agree on probation. At least not for my sort of case my defender never mentioned that at all and she was pretty certain on what I was going to get with my plea.

What is the safest drug to treat opiate adsiction if you suffer from severe liver cirrhosis?

Question by Alan: What is the safest drug to treat opiate adsiction if you suffer from severe liver cirrhosis?
My uncle suffers from opiate addiction as well as hep c his liver is serverly damaged and i was wondering about mesication assisted treatment. Methadone is not an option.

Best answer:

Answer by abijann
I’m sorry, but all liver patients are told not to take any
medications that have not been approved by or
prescribed by their doctors.
(this includes over the counter drugs, herbs, vitamins,
minerals, supplements, and any other drugs)

This is what happens in liver disease:
The liver cells become damaged, the immune system
of the body respond to this and cause inflammation
inside the liver which causes the liver to enlarge in
size and take on a spongy texture. If a patient
is diagnosed with Cirrhosis of the liver…this
means the liver cells are dying off and forming
scar tissue inside the liver. This cannot be
reversed. The scar tissue starts to block the
flow of blood through the liver and to the liver
cells that are left and they continue to die off and
form more scar tissue.

The liver cells are what does the functions of
the liver. If they are damage and die off, the
less functions they can do. The liver takes
toxins out of the body and convert then to
a non toxic form that the body can easily
dispose of. The liver cells takes medications
and break them down before they go to
the rest of the body.
Any medications used has to be adjusted
in dosage, changed to something easier
on the liver or stopped completely depending
on how much liver cell damage there may be.

This can only be done by the doctor who know
exactly how far advanced in this disease he is.
They can know that by doing a liver biopsy.
He should be monitored closely when this is
done to be sure his body can handle it.

Best wishes

How did Obama & Holder arrest 400 illegal Mexicans without racial profiling?

Question by I’m gonna start another riot: How did Obama & Holder arrest 400 illegal Mexicans without racial profiling?
WASHINGTON – Law enforcement agencies have arrested more than 2,000 people in a 22-month investigation targeting Mexican drug trafficking organizations in the United States, the Justice Department announced Thursday.

The probe, called Project Deliverance, focused on the transportation of methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and marijuana along the border.

At a news conference, Attorney General Eric Holder called Project Deliverance “just one battle” but nonetheless “a very significant blow” to the cartels.

More than 400 of the 2,000 arrests were made Wednesday, some in the San Diego area.
The Justice Department says the probe has led to the seizure of $ 154 million in currency, more than 1,200 pounds of methamphetamine, 2.5 tons of cocaine, more than 1,400 pounds of heroin and 69 tons of marijuana.

The Drug Enforcement Administration, the FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement worked on the effort with state and local law enforcement agencies.

Among those arrested in recently was Carlos Ramon Castro-Rocha, believed by law enforcement agencies to be among the leaders of organizations importing narcotics into the U.S.
