1. I’m not sure if you mean besides the psychedelic aspect or not. Either way, people ingest magic mushrooms to be more in tune with their inner spirit and mother earth. It is a very spiritual thing that shouldn’t be abused. It is not a recreational drug at all. It takes away in filters that your mind has so you are seeing everything as it truly is for the first time rather than what your mind has trained you to perceive it as. Basically, they are for spiritual purposes, but there are plenty of kids and people just looking to get ^HIGH^ that will abuse them and not get much more out of the experience besides some giggling and some “pretty colors.” Do not take them lightly.

2. The drug is abused by People growing them and eating large amounts of this drug to stay “High”

3. When taking this drug you make feel light headed and see strange colors and shapes. One of the good things is also a bad thing which is that you may also think positive about just about everything and think that what ever you may do will lead to something good, but some people have died because of this.

4. A person can quit by getting consoling, going to do community things to keep their mind off drugs and the use of them, have a healthy diet because people that are healthy usually end up staying that way because they feel really good about themselves. When you feel depressed and things of that nature then you turn towards these things, such as the use of drugs and alcohol because they are depressants.

5. There really isn’t any statistics on this drug because any one who is anything that I said before may turn towards the use of drugs.

PLEASE HELP! NK LEUKEMIA! Natural Killer Leukemia in 13 yr old boy!?

Question by DssLs1: PLEASE HELP! NK LEUKEMIA! Natural Killer Leukemia in 13 yr old boy!?
My cousin of 13 years was just diagnosed with NK leukemia on Thursday. This one year after his twenty year old brother was murdered. Needless to say our entire family is on pause at the moment. Ive done a lot reading and can find very little on NK. Less than 100 cases worldwide.

Please if you have personal experience, Hematologist, or oncolgist, please respond quickly.

The types of drugs that have been used and or treatment, and or success of bone marrow transplant or stem cell use. Please no links to random websites, been to wikipedia, leukemia-lymphoma.org, and anything google comes up with.

There was a specialist in leukemia member here named Todd but I couldnt contact him, if you are here please respond.

If anything please help us pray for him. We found out Thursday when his white cell blood count was 700 and today has risen to 1500. His chemo was postponed because of the improvement. His name is MARTIN CEJA. Please bring his name to your church and help us pray THANK YOU!!

suboxone-then what?

Question by mwwaldrop: suboxone-then what?
Greetings
I currently have what I consider to be a major opiate
addiction. I take 10-15 lortab 10s per day every day.
This has been a problem for quite a while now. I
stopped once for about 6 months, but had to have
dental work which caused me to relapse. There is no
possibility of me doing a rehab stint of any kind as
my job will not allow it. I have lost all interest in
any hobbies I have and now take them simply to be able
to get up in the morning and be functional.
What are my chances with suboxone? I
have researched this and am curious as to whether this
will help me stop before I end up killing myself. I’m
looking at this (suboxone)option as a “means to the end” of my abuse. I am 43 yrs old and feel certain that along
with the addiction, am going through some type of
midlife crisis as well. I don’t have the guts to
actually commit suicide but as the number amount I take increases, so does the chance of me doing the deed.
Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated

Answer by Bob
First, if you are thinking of suicide – really thinking of it, don’t worry about the job and them “letting” you do rehab.

You can speak to your doctor and tell him/her exactly what you just told us. They will find a way to help you without you necessarily having to go through formal rehab.

Good luck!

Answer by Straight Cat
Well, I feel that if you really want to get off the pain meds then do what a doctor would do for you. Slowly ween yourself from them. You are right, you will kill yourself if you continue.. It is strange how this pill that will give you energy will give someone else a head in the plate, actually knock them out.

You are dealing with something very strong and powerful and I pray for you to get off these pills that are killing so many people. It is good that you have opened up and are talking about it.

Good luck

High schools, places to live, places to be in Portland Oregon?

Question by Morgen Moung: High schools, places to live, places to be in Portland Oregon?
I’m moving from Alaska to Portland and it will be my senior year. I like my weed and I like my social life. I’m not into super weird people but I like people with personality. Where is the best place to go to high school for a chill atmosphere and attractive people, where’s the best place to live or at least a break down of what parts of the city are what. I’m an only child and I’m not trying to spend my senior year at home alone!(:

Do you know of any free ebooks about drugs, drug and alcohol treatment, alcoholism,?

Question by Breezy: Do you know of any free ebooks about drugs, drug and alcohol treatment, alcoholism,?
I need read a book and do a review for a class about life, society and drugs. I would like an e-book so I can read it anywhere. I could also read one that costs no more than $ 10.
Have you read any good books that talk about drugs, or drug use or abuse?

Best answer:

Answer by WV_Nomad
I use to work at a treatment facility. There is a wide range of infomation on that topic and what is the best treatment. You could always a and AA/NA book to understand the addiction or go to an open meeting. There are many programs that doesn’t agree with AA/NA, due to reasons, and a major one would be that AA/NA views the addiction as a disease, and the religious views addiction as a behavior. A lot of college book stores has books on that topic and if their used it would be cheaper to buy. A good book, but hard to understand because it’s a Masters degree level, but it does give different views about alcoholism “Alcoholism and the Family….A Guide to Treatment and Prevention”…by Ann Lawson and Gary Lawson. If you decide to get it, try reading through it a little, cause there are big words in it that could make the book boring.
