Question by meggurpanda: Any soveregn silver users here to testify?
Ive heard quite a lot of praise about it, but my mom refuses to get it because she still relies on the big pharma, and told me Ill die if I take it… I want to know if its good enough to put up a fight about getting it =] thanks

Answer by Real Life
Hi meggurpanda,
Your Mom is right, it’s a dangerous treatment with no real evidence of success. You should never believe people’s testimonials, because that’s not evidence, it’s just a story from one person. When you do a proper test of a product with hundreds or more people, you can get real evidence of whether a product really works.
Remember when you mention ‘Big Pharma’ that ‘Alt Med’ makes billions of dollars every year as well. Here’s some research and articles that you can look at – make sure you have both sides of the story before you make a decision to take silver.
“there’s no evidence that taking colloidal silver can do anything to fight disease or improve health, says Dr. Edmund Pribitkin, a professor of otolaryngology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia”
“Considered potentially toxic by the Environmental Protection Agency and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration”
“the National Institutes of Health warns that large doses of colloidal silver could cause seizures, kidney damage, stomach trouble, headaches and fatigue”
“People are spending a lot of money on something that has never been proven to work”
http://www.latimes.com/la-he-skeptic9-2009feb09,1,5020689.story
“the Food and Drug Administration’s 1999 ruling that colloidal silver is not recognized as a safe or effective treatment in over-the-counter products for any condition, and its manufacturers therefore cannot make drug-like claims about the product. ”
http://quackfiles.blogspot.com/2004/10/theres-unvaccinated-sucker-born-every.html
Argyria (Skin turning blue) can occur after many months of exposure.
“Argyria occurs in people who eat or breathe in silver over a long period (several months to many years)”
http://www.kval.com/news/local/12648491.html
“Colloidal silver can cause serious side effects. One is argyria, a bluish-gray discoloration of the body. Argyria is not treatable or reversible.”
http://nccam.nih.gov/health/silver/
Look, it’s not likely that you’ll die taking it but you could certainly develop problems – your Mom is just looking out for you.

Does life ever get better?
Question by melinda: Does life ever get better?
hi, I’m recovering from a drug addiction about a little over two weeks clean at the moment and I’m doing it on my own. And I don’t feel life is worth living, I mean does it ever get better? I feel like I’m in a black hole and the light is getting further and further out of reach. Some shit happened in my past that I couldn’t handle so I OD’d a little over 2 years ago and ended up in the hospital and after that I got hooked on drugs. Does anyone have any experience with what I’m going through??? I just want to be happy again and I’m scared. Im 21 years old.
